It's A Rat Birthday Party!!!!

My son really wanted to celebrate his rat's birthday, so of course I had to make her  a party hat!!! And we wrapped up a bunch of presents, DUH she also got a cake!!!

Venom Taking Over Spiderman Cake

We could have added more Venom slime, but I was afraid that the slime would take over the Venom cake and you wouldn't be able to see his spider legs. Next time the Spiderman cake will be smaller or the Venom spider will be way bigger.

Spiderman Birthday Wreath

DIY Flash Cake

I did an ice cream Flash cake for my sons 8th birthday. I used the glitter gel for the bolt and filled it in with yellow sprinkles, and red sprinkles around it!

DIY Spiderman Wrapping Paper

Target was all out of Spiderman paper, so what did I do? I tried my best to draw him on the boxes lol

DIY Spderman Cake 2!!

So my son is still a huge Spiderman fan!!! So we did another Spiderman party this year! I made ANOTHER Spiderman cake, this one was better then last years ;) well I think so at least. Click HERE to see last years.

2 layers, with frosting I had to color red myself, sprinkles, and gel. He loved it!

DIY Popcorn cake!!!

This cake was a bit difficult. It was made for my cousins son, who requested birthday cake ice cream and red velvet. Red velvet and fondant, no problem. But ice cream with fondant is very hard. When working with fondant you nee to smooth out and mold it to your cake, but that's very difficult to do when the ice cream is melting as you are trying to make your masterpiece! So we would work with the fondant for a minute then put it back in the freezer for an hour, then work with it some more, and freeze it again. Then to top it off it had to be transported an hour and a half away! Dry ice is amazing! It keep that cake frozen the whole way even thought it was over 100 degrees outside! All in all it turned out ok with the difficulties we had, it looks cute, and the 7 year old little boy was happy with it. And that's all that matters right??!!!! NEXT TIME NO ICE CREAM CAKE!!!! (if its here at my house I will make one again though, it was delicious!)
3 layers of red velvet, 2 layers of birthday cake ice cream, frosting to hold the fondant in place, fondant, caned frosting at the bottom and canned frosting for the popcorn!

DIY Easy Superman Cake

This one was a fun cake to make (if you cant tell my 2 year old "helped" and kinda destroyed it). But the idea is at least great! 2 circle cakes, cut to have the superman logo, frosted blue, with yellow fondant, and red gel icing.

Girly Cake!

I hosted my cousins bachelorette party, and needed a cake. I hate ordering them, I rather make them and have some fun with it. My husband went to culinary school years ago, so I used his expertise and tools. I made strawberry cake, from a box, and added jelly to the middle and fresh strawberries, and we used pre-made fondant from party city, they also sell a lot more at walmart (you can make your own easily but we were in a hurry to make it look at good as it could).
